Sex Knowledge – ReviewsFox
For anyone who knows anything about sex, you know that there’s an awful lot of misinformation out there. And for teenagers, that can be devastating.
Fortunately, Sex Knowledge – ReviewsFox Education is one of those shows that gets it right. The British series stars Gillian Anderson as Jean, an incredibly sexually liberated sex therapist and mother to teenage son Otis (Asa Butterfield).
But what’s most refreshing about the show is how bluntly and honestly it portrays sex. We see sex in various forms, from clinical illustrations and dirty magazines to orgasms, condoms, Viagra, and more.
This is a show that embraces sexual freedom, and Otis, his friends, and their teachers do it with an unflinching, honest, and often funny approach. But it’s also a show that addresses the real-life concerns and misconceptions teens face when growing up in a tumultuous world.

Asa Butterfield, who stars as Otis, is excellent in his role. He conveys Otis’s awkwardness and uncertainty with a lot of grace, and his portrayal of Otis’s relationship with his mother is particularly endearing.
Another character who’s very strong on screen is sex educator Hannah Fox. She’s a trained professional who has been working with teens for the past 15 years.
Her job is to make sure that the information given to kids is accurate and that they can understand it. As a result, she has to work with people of all different ages, bodies, and sexualities.
