We all love a hearty mug of chicken soup when we’re feeling under the weather, but what about enjoying it on a day-to-day basis? That’s where one of my favourite bone broths comes in: chicken bone broth. There are many benefits you and your family can enjoy from drinking this delicious and nutritious beverage every day!

Nourishing Chicken Bone Broth In A Slow Cooker

1. Rich in Collagen and Gelatin — The Power Duo that Promotes Youthful Skin!

Your skin mirrors your health. If you are not eating properly or ignoring injuries, then your skin will suffer. One way to combat this is by consuming collagen, which helps build healthy skin tissues. Your body also naturally produces less collagen as you age, making it more important to focus on collagen-rich foods and supplements. By regularly consuming chicken bone broth, you will promote healthy skin, hair and nails!

2. Aids in Digestion

Chicken bone broth aids digestion thanks to the gelatin found in it. According to a study from the British Journal of Nutrition, “gelatin hydrolysate increases gastric emptying…and accelerates upper gastrointestinal transit.”

In other words, people who ate chicken bone broth or took a supplement containing hydrolyzed collagen felt full more quickly as well as moved food out of their stomachs much faster than those who didn’t consume either type of product. The latter group tended to feel fuller for longer periods compared to those regular foods without collagen supplementation.

3. Reverses Signs of Aging

Forget expensive face creams, all you need is bone broth! Gelatin, one of the most common amino acids found in these broths, helps with reducing wrinkles and regenerating skin cells. According to a paper published in the biomedical journal Skin Pharmacology and Physiology, “the consumption of chicken soup protected the integrity of DNA strands making them less susceptible to breaking.”

4. Natural Anti-Inflammatory

By regularly drinking chicken bone broth or taking collagen supplements, you reduce your risk for obesity-related diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. This is because collagen helps control chronic inflammation throughout your body by inhibiting white blood cells from recruiting other immune cells to the site of injury. This reduces chronic inflammation and therefore, your risk for these diseases.

5. Supports Muscle Growth

Muscles require collagen to function properly, so consuming collagen-rich foods such as chicken bone broth can help you maintain those muscles. One study published in the Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism found that older men and women (average age: seventy) who drank eight ounces of chicken broth every day experienced a significant increase in muscle strength during their eighth and ninth decades on earth! That’s impressive stuff!

So start sipping; you’ll be happy you did!

6. Prevents Hangovers

If you’re looking for a natural cure for over symptoms like headache, nausea, and fatigue, then you’ll be happy to know that chicken bone broth can help. According to one study from the Journal of Food Science, “chicken soup may provide a better therapeutic effect in alleviating some common cold symptoms.”

7. It’s a Great Way to Hydrate

Many people have trouble drinking enough water throughout the day because plain water can become boring rather quickly. Chicken bone broth provides all of the hydration benefits of normal H20 without any added sugar or artificial ingredients!

8. Aids in Weight Loss

Although many factors contribute to your weight, such as genetics and environment, it is important for anyone who wants to lose fat and maintain muscle tone to stay properly hydrated. Drinking chicken bone broth is a great way to burn fat faster and stay full. One cup of broth contains only one gram of carbs and approximately six grams of protein, which can help you cut body fat and maintain muscle tone!
